The Masked Singer is back, and we’ve all transformed into detectives overnight.
Presented by Joel Dommett, the popular ITV singing competition with a twist is seeing a whole host of secret celebrities hiding under an elaborate costume as they sing their hearts out each week.
Celebrity judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall watch their performances and listen to the cryptic clues given out each week.
They – and those watching at home – then try to piece everything together to reveal the true identity of the celeb underneath.
All is revealed when one character is eliminated each week, with the studio descending into chaos as audiences chant: ‘Take it off!’ – the mask, of course.
One new character in this year’s edition of The Masked Singer is Pigeon – but what clues have been given out so far and who could they be underneath the mask?
What clues have been given about Jacket Potato on The Masked Singer?
- Dressed as an elderly woman – er, pigeon – with glasses, slippers, wheelie bag
- Promised ‘I might be an old bird but let me tell you, aging has never bothered me’ – but could she be lying about her age?
- Has ‘ruffled a few feathers’ in her time but calls herself ‘unflappable’
- Stood beside a welcome mat with the words ‘Home is where the heart is’
- Says she’s good at ‘being able to ask the tougher question’ – could she be a talk show host or journalist?
- Was drinking tea and eating digestive biscuits in central London
- Carried carrots in her handbag
- Said she would be competitive in the competition but ‘only with myself’
- Sang No Scrubs by TLC in hilarious fashion, leading Davina to suggest she could be a comedian

What guesses have been made about Pigeon so far?
Several names have been thrown into the mix as to what Pigeon’s true identity could be.
Some of these guesses have been a little on the wild side, with Jonathan Ross throwing out Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Gemma Collins
Mo kicked things off with a suggestion Pigeon could be none other than Gemma Collins.
She certainly had the personality to match, and as Mo put it, she sounds just like her – but could that be a trick?
Emily Atack
Davina’s first guess was for Emily Atack, partly due to Pigeon’s hilarious performance and their continued humour while on stage.
Her guess gained traction after Pigeon’s riddle was revealed.
The masked singer mentioned in her riddle that ‘life imitates art’ – with the judges noting straight away that comedian Emily is known for her imitations.
The Masked Singer continues on ITV on Saturday at 7pm.
