A Ramsbottom street has been closed after a truck lost control and rolled down a hill this morning.
Emergency services were in attendance on Cheshire Court, Ramsbottom, after the vehicle, reportedly a bin wagon, rolled down the hill following a brake failure.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that while no one was seriously hurt, the truck collided with a nearby garage.
Cheshire Court is a residential street which sits on a steep hill close to two main roads, the M66 and the A65.

The street remains closed while emergency services attend the scene and the area around the truck is taped off.
A recovery vehicle was also seen parked on the road.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 11:55am this morning (Saturday 14 January 2023), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a truck on Cheshire Court in Ramsbottom.
“Emergency services attended the scene.
“Initial enquiries suggest that the truck was driving down hill on Cheshire Court when the brakes have failed, the truck rolled down the hill and has collided into a garage.

No serious injuries have been reported.
“Officers remain at the scene to conduct further enquiries.”
